National Youth Day

In India, January 12th of every year is celebrated as National Youth Day. It is the Birthday of Swami Vivekananda, the patron of Youth. Yesterday, 1st January 2005 was a Day of great significance for the Devotees of Sri Ramakrishna Paramhamsa, it is the day on which Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa blessed all those present thus: "Be Illumined!" at the Cossipore garden. Since then, this day is being celebrated as 'Kalpataru Day'.
